My kiteboard has a small scratch in the base, how can I repair it?Updated 8 months ago
Necessary tools and materials:
- P-Tex sticks (covering material)
- Lighter or P-Tex burner
- Metal scraper
- Sandpaper or sanding block
Step-by-step instructions:
1. Cleaning: Thoroughly clean the damaged area and allow to dry
2. Application: Heat the P-Tex stick with a lighter or burner until it drips. Fill the dripping mass into the scratch
3. Cool down: Allow the P-Tex compound to cool completely
4. Remove the excess P-Tex compound with the metal scraper until the surface is even
5. Finishing: Smooth the repaired area with sandpaper.
If the damage to the board is more extensive, we recommend having it repaired by a professional repair store. (link Repair Shop Finder)
